Elite League: who's in and out.

Belle Vue Aces and Kings Lynn Stars have both brought in a new reserve as Speedway teams continue to tinker with their line-ups.

We take a look at what business has been done in the Elite League since our last recap, with the new season fast approaching...
Swindon Robins

The Robins completed their side for 2016 before Christmas with the signing of Dakota North. North was part of the 2014 Robins side, and the Australian completes an all-Australian top five.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: "We are delighted to have Dak back, he was happy last time he was at Swindon and we are pleased to have him in the team again after a year away.

"He's a rider with a lot of talent who is capable of mixing it with the best, so hopefully he can have a good year and contribute to a successful season for us."
Belle Vue Aces

Belle Vue have made a switch at reserve with Steve Boxhall stepping down from the side to give Ipswich Witches asset Joe Jacobs a berth at reserve in 2016.

Aces boss Chris Morton believes the reserve switch will prove to be the right one in the long run.

Morton said: "Having seen him ride in 2014, myself and the Belle Vue management were impressed with what we saw with Joe and when Neil Vatcher made us aware of his availability we gave him a call.

"Making the switch feels like the right thing to do for the club. He has a lot of talent and his attitude towards his racing is spot on, and he's very keen to resume normal service and further his career."
Kings Lynn Stars

The Stars have also made a late switch at reserve. Having named Simon Lambert as a starter for 2016, they were forced to find a replacement with Lambert facing fixture clashes with his Premier League side Peterborough Panthers.

The Norfolk club moved quickly for Carl Wilkinson and manager Rob Lyon was pleased with replacement.

He said: "As we saw last season, Carl is a maximum effort racer and I am sure he will play his part in bringing the entertainment factor back to the Adrian Flux Arena. He was keen to join the club and we are pleased that he will be a Star in 2016."
Lakeside Hammers

Lakeside have added two more names to their 2016 team with the returns of Richard Lawson and Piotr Swiderski to Purfleet.

It will be Lawson's fourth consecutive year with the side while it will be the Pole's third spell with the Essex club.

Hammers boss Jon Cook said: "Richard has been a stand out rider for us, with his development being a real joy for our fans to witness.

"Piotr had set his heart on being a Hammers rider again and to have him as No 5 in our averages gives us great strength in depth".
Leicester Lions

Leicester Lions have just one more place to fill having snapped up Nicolai Klindt and Sebastian Ulamek for the upcoming campaign.

Klindt is a familiar face to Lions fans as he rode for the club in their debut season at Elite League level.

Veteran Pole Ulamek joins Klindt for 2016 and promoter David Hemsley said: "We are delighted to have secured such a quality rider as Seb who will bring a wealth of experience and a new dimension to the side.

"The team is shaping up to have a more even spread of scoring throughout this year where everyone is capable of winning races."
